VOTE EARLY AND OFTEN!

Dear Reader(s):

I have been nominated for The 2008 Poet Laureate Of The Blogosphere!

Vote for me by clicking here.

If you've enjoyed even 7 words of one of my 8-word poems, slaked your thirst for snark with one of my Slipshod Sonnets, or found yourself thinking "That's possibly deep - though I'm not entirely sure!" after pondering one of my long form poetic extravaganzas, well now you can share the love and give something back.

Imagine: fame, fortune, a steaming hot cup of jack squat. These can all be mine, with your help!

Thank you in advance for your vote(s).

A PAIR OF RAGGED CLAWS SCUTTLING, MY ASS

Learning to live with God
In the solution

Feeling like a dream could fix this
And a fix could dream this
And a daydream deceiver

And the end of all things
And the thing of it is
And the is is the thing

And big and fat and gay as a lifestyle
And tall and short and all Dr. Seuss
And killing time with everyone in sight

And waiting and wondering like Jim
And watching the wheels like John
And pitying the three blind mice like so

No no no no
And no and no and no and no
And no
   And no
      And no
         And no
No no no no no no no

And questions of intimacy
And unfortunate realizations
And every last inappropriate fucking thing

And how's my driving?
And how's my tone?
And how's my cat?

No, yes?
No!

And no and no and no and no
No no no no no.

Hates his face

Slipshod Sonnet #16

Beat those sentiments with a stick!
Is anybody buying this? Or going
to San Antone? If you see her, say
goodbye. Remember, Road Trip 101:
There was an Italian pistol in the
glove compartment
. Leisure rhymes
with seizure. "Mends and restores
luminosity" (bullshit). Grandeur &
Majesty! Golf Carts of the Gods. The
masters on a wild crash diet, all curves
and big girl shoes versus male enhance-
ment, much mentioned. I swear these
were my dying words: "Let your heart
beat to a religion lacking rhythm."

BECAUSE THE WORLD NEEDS TO KNOW

My GoodReads review of Love Is A Mix Tape:

This is not a good book, and I am now quite concerned about the mental state of several formerly trustworthy souls who recommended it.

While the story is moving and worth reporting, the writing is hopelessly precious.

Also, the author has profoundly shitty taste in music, thus negating the entire premise from word one!

Sheer crap.

NO ONE GETS TO CALL SHOTGUN IN THE AFTERLIFE; THE AFTERLIFE CALLS SHOTGUN ON YOU

So now what? You've earned whatever
you call this. No fear of the here and
now (saying something), but of a room
with no view. Just enough left to make
killing off the remaining possibilities
attractive. A quiet corner with space for
prayer (knees) and the vaguest daylight
crack of salvation. Which is hope with
a religious upbringing. In the land of
might not be the best idea the natives
welcome us with open pincers. Maybe
one does step over, walking through a
door, the kind they have in submarines.
You need to raise your leg with purpose.
